Since March 2020, the road to the Big Almaty Lake has been closed to private vehicles for an indefinite period. At the moment, tourists can get to the Big Almaty Lake only on foot. But we are able to take our tourists directly to the Lake by car. Due to this we are forced to use a not entirely legal way to get to the lake by car. Sometimes it doesn’t work. Therefore the tour may be cancelled.

Almaty is rich for different city attractions like historical and cultural objects, museums and parks. When starting to explore Almaty, it is absolutely worth to visit the “must-see” natural attraction in the vicinity of the city – Big Almaty Lake.

The turquoise surface of the Big Almaty Lake shines among the majestic Trans-Ili Alatau mountains at an altitude of 2500 m above the sea level. As a result of the earthquake, the mountains formed a gorgeous lake, the beauty of which will forever remain in your heart and which has long been one of the symbols of Almaty.

WE RECOMMEND TO TAKE WITH YOU: warm clothes (at an altitude of 2500m above sea level the temperature is 10-15 degrees lower than in the city), head cover, sunblock (in warm season), sport shoes.
!!! The tour takes place in the border area. Be sure to have your passport (original, not a copy). Border guards can fine you if you don’t have your passport.
