The most known and popular place among tourists is the “Valley of the Castles”. This is a completed ensemble of “palaces”, “towers” and ”minarets” formed by Pliocene deposits of red color, due to which this place is also called Red Canyon. The canyon has a length of about 1.5 km and a depth of 150 m.

Moon (Yellow) Canyon is less known and therefore less visited than the Valley of the Castles, but it is the same natural masterpiece. The slopes of the canyon are composed of yellow sediment, that’s why it is also called Yellow canyon.

Black Canyon is the deepest among others and is formed directly by the Charyn River, which for millions of years has carved such a deep canyon in the rock. If you close to the edge of the cliff and look down, you will definitely feel your head spinning.
